Division (A) At home the Blues welcomed Greenland’s Oaks which resulted in Skip Bedford’s team achieving a draw for one point, together with two wins coming from; Dawn Taylor, Martin Harley & Harold Charleton (17-11). Ann & Jim Taylor with Dave Blackie (18-16) which saw us pick up the (Shots 63-62) to win 7-3.
Division (B) The Golds played an away game at San Luis against the Tigers, where we gained comfortable wins on three rinks and just losing out by one shot on the other. Winning teams; Cathleen Morrisroe, Pat Moore & Alan Mawer (30-12). Dot Kocsis, Alan Carr & Alan Ralph (21-8). Irene Laverick, Ken Stringfellow & Noel Morrisroe (18-7). Result 8-2 (Shots 83 -44).
Division (C) Afternoon away game for the Silvers their hosts being Vistabella Conquistadores, which ended quite even with both teams claiming two rinks each but just losing out on the overall (Shots 66-69). Rink winners; Dave Collins, June & David Whitworth (26-13). Trevor Witcher, Wayne Howlett & Graham Doel (19-11). Lost 4-6.
Enterprise The Apollos travelled to San Miguel to play the Alsations, where they got wins on three rinks together with the overall (Shots 73-58) to secure 8 points. Rinks won by; Ramsay Sinclair, Martin Harley & Les Bedford (26-11). Karen Kirk, Joy & Brian Gardiner (20-15). Judy Carroll, Ann & Jim Taylor (16-15).
Discovery The Pioneers also had an away game to Emerald Isle Moonrakers, which turned out to be a well worth while journey by picking up comfortable wins on all rinks to travel home with the full 10 points (Shots 87-50). Winners being; Joan & Mike Inns with Alan Ralph (20-9). Ken Stringfellow, Pat Moore & Noel Morrisroe (24-13). Irene Laverick, Sue Jordan & Alan Mawer (22-14). Jo Elkin, Derek Barker & John Skipper (21-14).
Premier 20 Knockout 2021/22 La Siesta played Emerald Isle in the Premier 20, both teams hoping to progress into the next round.
At home we won two games together with the overall (Shots 64-62) result 6-4 the winning teams being, Singles; Alan Ralph (21-15). Rinks; Alan Carr, Tracey Paffett, Joan & Mike Inns (19-9).
In the away game we managed to win the Trips with; Karen Kirk, Jan & Brian Pocock (17-12) lost 2-8 (Shots 60-86).
Emerald Isle winning overall 12-8 (Shots 148-124) and we wish them all the best in the next round.
