Monday 15th May saw San Miguel Christians play Monte Mar Torros at home where they drew 6-6. 91 shots to 80 with the two winning trips being Sharon Louise, Allan Campbell and Mike Douglas winning 29-13 and Tom Dalgleish, Gary Newark and Eddie Cowan winning 22-9.
The San Miguel Moors were away against Quesada Blenheims where they lost 4-8. The two winning trips were Margaret Patterson, Sandi Hannan and Steve Cantley who won 21-12 and Allan Patterson, Dave Homer and Steve Parr coming back from 11-1 down to winning 21-19.
On Wednesday San Miguel Sheriffs took on Vistabella Saxons in the VCL League where it ended in a draw 6-6. The two winners were Gail Willshire in the ladies singles who won 21-10 and Janet Parr, Steven Parr, Steve Cantley and Fred Willshire in the rinks who won 27-12. San Miguel Deputies were away to San Luis Hawks where they came away with a 10-2 win.
Pat McEwan won then singles 21-20, Jack Jackson and Frank Scotthern won the pairs 21-11, the triple of JN Farmer, Barbara Scotthern and Mike Douglas won 23-21 and the rink of Tom Dalgleish, Derek Farmer, Alan Campbell and Eddie Cowan won 21-14.
A reminder that the WASPS sessions take place on a Wednesday 1.30 for 2pm – 5 euros for an afternoons bowling with shoes and bowls available to borrow. Due to the popularity of the Wasps, first time bowlers are asked to attend an initial coaching session on a Tuesday afternoon starting at 1.45pm by appointment ONLY.
