San Miguel Bowls - Week ending 21st October 2022 - Barry Jones

On Monday we had three teams in action, San Miguel Dolphins were home to Greenlands Maples taking all twelve points, 79 shots to 28, the best winning triple were Bob Nesbitt, Eddie Cowan and Mike Douglas 23 – 5.

On Monday morning San Miguel Stingrays were away to Vistabella Eagles where they shared the points 6 – 6, 79 shots to 86. Best winning triple were Adam Ingram, Ken Hope and Barry Jones 20 – 11.

On Monday afternoon San Miguel Orcas were away to  Vistabella Drivers, losing 2 – 10, 63 shots to 88. They had two trips that drew, Sharon Louise, David Homer and Steven Parr 16 – 6, and Anne Young, Paul Hayward and Barbara Scotthern 4 – 4.

On Wednesday San Miguel were home to Greenland Gladiators where they lost 2 – 6, 51 shots to 60. The only winning rink was Bob Nesbitt, Lee Sinclair, Ron Nairey and Lynn Greenland 19 – 8.

On Friday morning San Miguel Navajos were home to Quesada Swans losing 4 – 8, 79 shots to 84. The best winning triple were Ann Young, Bob Nesbitt and Mike Douglas 25 – 15.

Also on Friday San Miguel Comanches  were home to Country Bowls Panthers losing 2 – 10. The best winning triple were Ken Guiney, Gesture Saenundd and Lynn Greenland 28 – 5.

A reminder that the Wasps sessions take place Wednesdays 1.30pm for 2.00pm – €5 for an afternoon’s bowling with shoes and bowls available to borrow. Due to the popularity of the Wasps, first time bowlers are asked to attend an initial coaching session on Tuesday afternoons, starting at 1.45pm.

We welcome all bowlers who would like to join San Miguel B.C. as we are a unique club  we only pay owner fees and a club fee and NO LEAGUE RINK FEES.
