Hurricane Division the Wasps at home entertained Quesada Lancaster’s which was always going to be a difficult game between the two division leaders.
It was no surprise that the game finished with both teams settling to share the points with wins from; Dawn & John Taylor with Harold Charleton (28-12). Jan Pocock, Dave Collins & Dave Blackie (20-10) for 4 points and we also took the overall (Shots 84-80) to make the end result 6-6.
Two more games before the season ends and it remains very tight between the top three teams, who will be crowned the Division winners!!!!
Harrier Division La Siesta Hornets travelled to Monte Mar for their game which a win was needed to stay top in their division but unfortunately for us the home side were wanting the same to collect as many points as possible to stake their claim for the number one slot.
The game ended with the Hornets securing 4 points, with the winning rinks being; Pat Moore, Bill & Sue Jordan (20-11). Anthony Pridmore, Janet & Graham Doel (21-18). Result 4-8 (Shots 71-93).
On Friday to celebrate The Queens Platinum Jubilee and also 30 years of La Siesta Bowls Club a fun day is being organised for the members.
Interested in joining La Siesta members run Bowls Club, there is always something going on with plenty of social events on Wednesday we are holding a tenpin bowling night followed by a meal, at the club we have league/casual bowling which includes Chicken and Egg every Wednesday with George 1.30 for 2pm, and organised roll ups every Saturday with Graham & Mike 9.30 for 10am where prizes are awarded.
