La Siesta Apollos of the Enterprise Division travelled a short distance down the road to play San Luis Klingons but unfortunately the hosts were only able to field four teams. The Apollos had a great start to the season by winning on all four rinks with a bit in hand, Rinks won by; Norman Adcroft, Brian Gardiner & Mike Edwards (29-11).Tony & Val Dalton with Brian Fraser (23-16). Barbara Cooper, Karen Kirk, & Les Bedford (21-14). Dawn & John Taylor with Harold Charleton (21-15), with the unplayed team; Joy Gardiner, Florence Edwards & Jean Cooper getting a further 2 pts we won 12-0 (Shots 104-56).
The Winter League saw La Siesta 1 travel north to play Bonalba which ended with the team getting a comfortable result of 12-2 (Shots 103–95) Rinks won by; Tony & Val Dalton (23-12). Kathleen & Noel Morrisroe (21-18). Pat Moore & Jean Cooper (16-15), Jan & Brian Pocock (19-12). John Taylor & Les Bedford (14-12). Meanwhile at home La Siesta 2 welcomed Vistabella who immediately put pressure on most of the rinks determined to get all of the points, but found two of our rinks to be too strong; Shelia Millward & Jim Eastwood (23-17). Mags Haines & Brian Gardiner (19-14). The result ended 4-10 (Shots 81-127).
La Siesta Blues in Division A Southern League had an away game against San Miguel Bulldogs and found this to be a very difficult game as the home team went well ahead on three rinks, but we managed to gain 2 points for getting draws on the other two thanks to Skip Mike Edwards & Brian Pocock´s teams with the game ending 2-10 (57-116). The Golds in Division B played host to Vistabella Picadors where most of the games went very close which is shown by the equal Shots 78-78, the final result being 3-9 having got a good win on one of our rinks well done; Wendy & Alan Ralph with Vic Mahomet (26-10).
