Despite a couple of days when some rain was in evidence, not a minute of play was lost during last week’s Champion of Champions tournament, which was held at Quesada bowls club.
There were some notable performances by QBC qualifiers, including Irene Everett, who fell at the semi final stage of her lady’s singles event and Jason Prokopowycz who lost in the semi final of his mens singles match.
The mixed triples team of Mel Highland, Jason Prokopowycz & Peter Morgan, lost in the final against an Emerald Isle side. In the mixed rinks discipline, Chris Brazier, Mel Highland, Peter Morgan & Jason Prokopowycz, also lost in the final, this time it was against a Greenlands based foursome.
But, in the mens pairs, Chris Brazier & Jason Prokopowycz, beat a Greenlands pairing, to take the crown once again.
