La Siesta Bowls the members run club have been continuing with club Internal competition and organised games in the absence of League games which have also included rollups on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays with Chicken & Egg on Wednesdays 1.30 for 2pm.
On the 29th of May La Siesta Bowls Club Championship games were finally completed, a bit later than normal, with the winners of the following categories being;
Mixed Rinks – Dawn & John Taylor, Norman Adcroft with George Richardson. Mixed Trips – Dawn & John Taylor with Harold Charleton. Ladies Pairs – Irene Laverick & Sue Jordan. Men’s Pairs – Pat Reilly & Mike Edwards. Mixed Pairs – Wendy & Alan Ralph. Ladies Singles – Judy Carroll. Men’s Singles – Ken Stringfellow. Mixed Singles – Sue Jordan.
Whilst all these games were in progress the restrictions and guidelines imposed by the LLB & the Spanish Government have been our priority at La Siesta for the safety of all members who have been attending the club.
Anyone interested in joining La Siesta Bowls Club, run by the members, are welcome to call the Club President (George) or Club Captain (Wendy) who will be pleased to give you any information you may require to assist you in making that decision.
We hope to see new members in the very near future and hopefully will see the return of the League games later in the year.
