If you really want to celebrate St George’s day you should go to Alcoy, where they have a marvellous parade and if you can’t make the parade just go any day and visit the museum.

In our own way we celebrated on the green, the picture show some of our more photogenic members wearing the appropriate red and white (not the blue and white of our English soccer team).  Our dragon slayers on this occasion were Lorita Ray, Tom Edwards and Mike Lowe.  Well done to all for a fun day.

On Monday we travelled to San Miguel with a fine 9 points to 3 victory, our contributing trips were – Anne Stone, Norman Ship and Barry Roberts 20-18, John Callaghan, Janet and Pete Parsons 23-11,  Lesley & Dave Joynes and Len Daniels 16-15, Peter Horsfield, Shirley Hadaway & John Rae 19-19. Giving us a overall shot difference 88-86 in our favour.

Wednesday see us away again, this time to St Louis for a afternoon game where we lost 8-4, our winners were Janet Parsons 15-21,  not to be outdone  her husband Peter skipped by Don Fowkes won the pairs  7-18, the overall shots were 75-85 against La Marina.

Don’t forget new members and or spectators are always welcome and you can contact Barry 641873985 for any further information.
