On Monday San Miguel held an internal competition, The President’s Team v The Club Captain’s Team. An enjoyable morning bowls was had by all, the Club Captain’s Team came out on top winning 67 shots to 39.

This Thursday saw the return of San Miguel Ladies annual competition against Emerald Isle Ladies at Emerald Isle.

It was also the start of a competition between the men from both Clubs at San Miguel. A great afternoon was had by all with San Miguel winning both competitions.

San Miguel presented a cup (one of Cyril Medley’s) for the Men’s’ Competition, to be called the Cyril Medley trophy in memory of Cyril who was the first member from SMBC to die from COVID.

An excellent meal followed at Emerald Isle. Next year the Ladies will play at SMBC and the Men at Emerald Isle, with a meal afterwards at SMBC.

On Friday San Miguel held the final pre-season friendly game between the Boxers and the Bulldogs, with the boxers winning by 118 shots to 91 shots.

A reminder that the Wasps sessions take place Wednesdays 1.30pm for 2.00pm – €5 for an afternoon’s bowling with shoes and bowls available to borrow. Due to the popularity of the Wasps, first time bowlers are asked to attend an initial coaching session on Tuesday afternoons, starting at 1.45pm.
