Congratulations to QBC member Pete Morgan, who won the Valencians singles championship finals by 21 points to 16. This latest victory, gave Pete his 3rd successive Valencian singles winners medal. Twas a heart-breaking, so close yet so far, for fellow member Irene Everett. Her semi-final ladies singles match, saw Irene lose by the narrowest of margins – (20-21).
Quesada played an annual friendly match against Legionnaires at La Siesta last week. For the record, QBC & Legionnaires each won on 2 rinks, with 1 being drawn. A post-match meal was held at nearby Dilly’s bar, where arrangements for next year’s encounter were made.
