Monday found the Raiders at Quesada playing the Rubies with a strong gusting wind making the bowls a little tricky, but despite coming away with just the one rink, several others could have gone either way.

Meanwhile the Pintos played host to San Luis Klingons, who despite having a trip short, were in good spirit and enjoyed the match, battling against the inconsistent wind. The Pintos took 3 rinks and a walkover to Klingons 1, with an enjoyable match in good company.

Friday morning found the Mustangs entertaining Quesada Swallows, who being a strong team, gave us quite a battle and proved to be a little too strong on the day. But we did take one rink and drew another, sometimes you are just up against a better team, if only on this occasion. Irene Thomson, Bob Day and Eddie Thomson 14-22. Lesley Day, Geoff Jones and Diane Yates 16-16. Barbara Jones, Malc Sykes and Richard Lee 19-15. Val Ryder, Judy Foley and Henry Ryder 10-30. Gary Dunstone, Sheila Cox and Mike Cox 12-30.

In the afternoon the Broncos were at Vistabella playing their Conquistadors, playing well in taking two rinks and losing another by just 2 shots, a good away result. Dolly Ford, Ann Abbott and Marion Haynes 22-14. Tony Abbott, Brian Gilham and Ron Greenstreet 16-18. Ngaio Baldwin, Bob Easthope and Pete Baldwin 17-13. Peter Blackburn, Pam Harris and Brian Harris 5-39. David Baker, Gill Bartlett and Rob Clark 9-33.
